On to the B&W images we go:
Robert Doisneau, Le Baiser De l' Hôtel De Ville, Paris, 1950
An iconic image if ever there was one.
I'd coveted my own print of this for years, I even have a postcard version in a small frame in a series of "Paris couples" that I made myself, (that series to come) and then one day I moved into a house for a mere three months, and it was pretty dull. Except for the fact that it had this poster on the wall in the kitchen...and it wasn't on the inventory. What can I say? I figured it had been abandoned by the last tenant and I adopted it, framed it, loved it... gave it the attention it needed. Lots.
There are so many stories in this image. Every time I look at it I see another.
