Anyway the news here isn’t all bad. DOUBLE DARE has been out for six weeks and I’m starting to get e-mails from readers. Wow. It’s an amazing experience, a different kind of communication to that which we have with critique partners, editors and agents. It means the world to me when people take the time to comment, and some have also hopped on over to join my newsletter group too, so all is good.

I also put a couple of photos of Daniel Day Lewis on my Double Dare excerpt page, because he’s got a bit of the look I wanted to create for Zac. Love that smile…
One of the readers who mailed me said she’d be interested in a book about one of the supporting characters, a woman called Caroline. Caroline appears in maybe five scenes, she’s a friend and workmate of the heroine. I hadn’t thought of writing her story so it was interesting for me to get that kind of feedback. She is a strong character, slightly older, very observant and a bit wry. All feedback is interesting and useful, and it’s terrific finding out what works for readers.
PS Hmm...apologies to anyone who called around expecting intellectual musings on writing and got nekkid stud instead.
PPS I’ve met Pete Steele for real and I can report that his stature is indeed awe-inspiring LOL His height! I meant his height! Honest…
