A good week, with some super sales news!

Thankfully this past week shaped up a lot better than the one before. My work is moving ahead again and I received some great bits of news that I can share!

First up, my short story "A Compromising Position" (a lesbian erotic romance tale) was accepted for publication in COMING TOGETHER: INTO THE LIGHT. This is a collection of revelation-themed erotic fiction that is edited by Alessia Brio and will be published by Phaze Books in January 2010. Sales of the anthology will benefit V-Day, which works to end violence against women and children. Here's the lineup:

Introduction (Candida Royalle)
A Compromising Position (Saskia Walker)
Doesn't Matter (Celia Kyle)
Far From Ordinary (Jenna Byrnes)
Foundling (Brenna Lyons)
How Paradise Comes to the Blind (C. Sanchez-Garcia)
Involuntarily (Jeremy Edwards)
Jake (Alessia Brio)
Past or Present (Heidi Champa)
Samers (Gregory L. Norris)
Sand and Steel (Shanna Germain)
Smut Puppy (Allison Wonderland)
Staying Cool (Michelle Houston)
Take Off My Clothes (Nobilis Reed)
The DoubleDare Hotel (Will Belegon)
The Feast of the Epiphany (Jean Roberta)

I'm so pleased to have my work appear in the anthology, absolutely delighted! Then more exciting news came in from editor Alison Tyler. My Irish mythology short story "Kiss It" (which relates to the Blarney Stone legend) will appear in Alison's next fairy tale anthology, ALISON'S WONDERLAND! This bumper collection of erotic fantasy tales will be coming out in July 2010 from Harlequin Spice. I'm so thrilled to be part of the collection! Just check out the line up:

The cherry on top of all that good news was reading some lovely comments about my work. From Sue Rix on RECKLESS:

W-O-W! This story has everything. The characters are sexy, gorgeous and believable. The writing is brilliant, and as expected from an erotic romance it's HOT!

I've discovered that Saskia Walker's stories are so much more than a sexy read. Reckless is full of exciting suspense and it's a real page-turner. I'm a frustratingly slow reader and even I finished this book in three sittings. I LOVED it!

And in a review from Whipped Cream for COMING TOGETHER: AT LAST some super feedback about my short story "Matilda's Touch."

Matilda’s Touch by Saskia Walker is a sweet and vivid memory of a first love. Sally is insecure and unwanted, sent to a boarding school to ease her mother’s guilt. Matilda is an otherworldly being and a temptation too strong to resist. This being my first female/female love story, I was pleasantly surprised by the beauty of it.

As you can imagine, all this encouraging news has helped me get back to business, which is just as well as I have another deadline racing towards me.

Have a great weekend!
